The Plainville Colts work with the younger ages (ages 5-7) to develop an interest in contact football when they hit the age of 7, at which time they can participate in the AYF Program.  

NFL Youth Football programs help children and their families enjoy the football experience every time they step on a field. Our programs are also a resource for coaches, helping them promote a positive experience for all participants.   NFL FLAG is the premier youth football league for boys and girls. The program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork.    Launched in 1996, the FLAG Football program is designed to educate young people about football while emphasizing participation and sportsmanship. Players learn skills and lessons that help them succeed both on and off the field.  This five-on-five game is recognizable to football fans everywhere.
